Based in Encinitas, Darlington Marketing specializes in helping restaurants and food service businesses achieve success and grow. Nine years ago, founder Cyndi Darlington combined her passion for the restaurant industry with a desire to help small business owners and started her marketing company. Today, Darlington Marketing works with restaurant, food and retail businesses across the state helping them become profitable, expand their locations and even franchise.

In addition, Cyndi and her team work within in the community to mentor women business owners, lead workshops on grassroots marketing, and teach marketing to local community college students, as well as holding volunteer leadership positions at SCORE.

“We are thrilled to be awarded Small Business of The Year by State of California and Assembly member Boerner Horvath,” said Cyndi Darlington. “Small business is our passion, especially those local to San Diego. We will continue to do all we can to help them grow and prosper.”

California Small Business Day honored 82 small businesses for their contribution to the state’s economy. Small business contributes to 75% of California’s gross state product and over half of the state’s private sector jobs. From hardware stores to manufacturers, small businesses are engrained in California’s communities and economy.

“California’s small businesses are the economic engine of our state,” said Betty Jo Toccoli, President of the California Small Business Association. “Darlington Marketing was celebrated for their successful small business and contributions to the community.”
