Cara Sprague is a marketing veteran bringing 15 years of experience on both the agency and client side of the hospitality, real estate and lifestyle industries. With an innate ability to listen and understand a company’s needs, Cara can develop cohesive strategies combining both online and offline tactics to grow brand awareness and drive business. Cara oversees several of the agency’s accounts with a particular focus on implementation of local marketing programs to grow sales at an individual store level.
After graduating from Santa Clara University, Cara began her career in account services for a marketing agency where she honed her skills in developing fluid marketing programs to meet sales goals for primarily real-estate and hospitality clients. Here Cara developed strong relationship building skills allowing her to bridge her creativity with her hands on approach. Not only a strategist, Cara has a knack for getting things done and has a great mind for tactical implementation.
After working for an agency for six years, Cara decided to pursue her next challenge and joined the marketing team at Islands Restaurants. She quickly grew in her role at Islands and rose to lead the department overseeing all aspects of marketing and communications for the company. With a proven track record for taking ideas and turning them into profitable initiatives by developing business plans, forecasting financial implications and determining a solid marketing strategy, Cara was able to make an impact at Islands. She also led local marketing efforts, fine tuning the ins and outs of implementing individual store programs for the 55-unit company. A loyal team player, Cara continues to work with Islands on several initiatives.
Cara, a San Diego native who shines in the Southern California lifestyle, lives in Carmel Valley with her husband and two dogs. She loves to spend time at the beach, ride her beach cruiser, hike with friends and explore new restaurants.
