  • Stacy Stakenburg

    Stacy Stakenburg joins Darlington Marketing with over 15 years of marketing experience leading the strategy for local, national and global brands across a multitude of industries. She is a strategic and creative marketing expert, who excels at driving increased digital audiences, brand visibility, and campaign growth across fast-paced markets.

    Stacy began her marketing career working in the restaurant industry focusing on local marketing and email marketing for Catalina Restaurant Group. Creating individual marketing plans for over 200 restaurants and focusing on increasing sales at the bottom 20 locations, Stacy was responsible for the local marketing budget.

    She then ventured into field marketing for Rubio’s and focused on building sales and driving awareness for their 50 restaurants in the San Diego region through local events and sponsorships with I Love A Clean San Diego and the California Coastal Commission. She was a key component in assisting in their rebranding efforts from Rubio’s Mexican Grill to Rubio’s Coastal Grill and planned and led the grand reopening events at all locations.

    As she climbed the ladder in marketing she moved on to Islands Restaurants and was in charge of their local marketing program as well as assisting with their email and rewards programs as well. During COVID, she helped contribute to a successful “Buy One Give One” campaign that garnered national recognition for supporting elderly and homebound individuals in need.

    With over 10 years dedicated to restaurants, she then moved into digital marketing and worked at C2 Social, a digital marketing agency based in Carlsbad. She was a Sr. Strategist and was in charge of creating digital campaigns for both B2B and B2C clients in retail, franchise, e-commerce, restaurant and mortgage industries. The campaigns spanned from Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube as well as Programmatic, Google paid search and display.

    Prior to joining Darlington Marketing, Stacy worked at Fluidra, a global manufacturing company in the pool and spa sector. She led the Go-to-Market strategy for all new products in the commercial, software/iOT and specialty departments. She worked alongside the Product Managers creating first in class branded materials for the sales teams, as well as print, digital, social and PR campaigns for all new product launches and software updates and releases.

    Stacy is a San-Diego native and in her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children.
